Ramson Rotary Switches are designed for On Load Switching and facilitate choice of multi position and
multi pole circuits. The applications are for isolation, selection and auxiliary switching or resistive and
inductive circuits.
In case of Ammeter Selector switches, special type of Make-before-Break contacts is used to give complete
security against risk of open circuit condition of current transformers.
L. T. Control cam operated switches basic type M25 are built up from uniform switching packets assembled
to form of stack. Each packets carries 2 fixed contacts accessible from outside and2moving contacts inside
the packet. The moving contacts are operated by moulded Bakelite cams which are actuated by a spring
operated mechanism. This facilitates make and break operations with positive location of position. The
switches are capable of rotating either in clockwise or anti clockwise direction. M25 switches are generally
supplied with Bakelite ball handle, single or double knob.
Switching Capacity and mechanical life: M25 Switches are exceptionally suitable for safe starting and
stopping of AC, 3phase induction motors, even under heavy starting and locked rotor conditions. These
switches are capable of a frequency of operations up to 200 switching cycles per hour. The mechanical life
of these switches is exceptionally high, running into millions of switching cycles. The switches possess high
making and breaking capacity and contact life. The terminals of M25 switches are easily accessible from outside.
Motor Control Switches: For controlling, starting, and stopping of 3 phase induction motors. These are
classified as motor duty switches under category AC-3 of IS: 1993.
Programme Switches: These switches are tailor made as per switching sequences desired by the customer.
These switches are used for programme control of machine tools, switchboards, control panels etc.
These can also be used in the main circuit for direct control of feeder motors and in the control circuit for
controlling the contactor for various devices according to the desired programme.
L.T. Control Reverse/Forward switches: These switches are air break , lever operated and are designed
to provide reliable and efficient control of industrial motors. The switches have exceptionally long life of
switching cycles. The switches are capable of continuous duty giving more than 200 switching operations
per hour. The switches are robust construction and are enclosed in sheet metal housing. The switches
are operated with Bakelite ball handle for general application. For loom application the switches are made
available with steel handle.
